As a native Floridian, Sam started at the age of 12 in Pompano Beach working his way up in the restaurant business until the age of 23 where he was then approached with a life changing opportunity to combine both of his passions of cooking and boating to a Chef/1st Mate on a Yacht and Sportfish for a private family in Hillsboro Beach Florida. Shortly after accepting, it was off to traveling the Bahamas and most of South Florida for the next 7 years chartering for their family, friends and business associates. Within the 7 years he learned much more about yachting from maintaining the exterior, interior, engine room maintenance to provisioning but most importantly he learned about people and their expectations of yachting.
After taking some time off the water Sam then was back into the foodservice business as a fresh produce consultant where he again utilized his passion for food and the ability to communicate with chef’s and restaurant owners to help build one of the largest fresh produce and dairy distribution companies in South Florida.
Sam retired from the foodservice distribution business then returned to his love for boating and joined the Moretti Yachts Team. He is now a charter broker for the Bahamas as well as your broker to purchasing or sell your yacht.

Born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts and educated on Cape Cod at Massachusetts Maritime Academy where I studied International Maritime Business. At the Academy, I studied major maritime course, stood watch on our Academy vessel and campus along with long man-hours of maintenance. I achieved awards such as Honor Company, Cadet of Sea Term, Good Conduct Award and Varsity Captain (football). As captain of the football team my senior year, I received New England Conference Honor Roll, MVP Lee Harrington Award, 2nd Team All Star and Kevin Doherty Award (offensive player of the year).
I’ve always had a passion for the maritime side of life, growing up with a beach house and center console boat, our family would go fishing every weekend catching striped bass, bluefish and tuna. After graduating from the Academy I moved to Fort Lauderdale, Florida to pursue a career at the Port of Miami as an Assistant Marine Operations Manager. At the Port, I was able to successfully complete the Regional Management Program, Six Sigma Green Belt, Hazmat Certified and Crane Tech II. With time on the side, I decided to pick up my broker’s license and work for one of the best brokerage companies in South Florida, Moretti Yachts. The best is yet to come!
